One of the things I tried was making the model really big to try and fix the stepping, it's usually scaled to the right size. Also, the stepping didn't happen until I used the pose tools to try and scale parts of the model, I had been using the grab brush fine until then with no stepping issues.
Believe me I spent hours searching before I made this thread, not sure how I never found this.. Step 1 - Select edge loops like so Step 2 - Switch to vertex and select a loop near the center Step 3 - Click "Curve" and "Space" and that's it. Here's the result!
Perhaps plan ahead, make a long term goal, something realistic. Then break it up into small steps, 1 day project type of things like pior mentioned. Then just go down the line step by step, one by one and don't look back. Eventually you'll get something done.
Hi PC, I have a problem that comes from various ways: I'm trying to assign values between 0 to 1 to some bones, let's say 0.5 for a vertex to a single bone, and only that bone. To accomplish that I have to disable Normalize for that vertex so I can assign weight values for a vertex that don't have to add 1 between the…
its funny how everyone who stepped from one version the next like from 2008 to 2009 said the same, or from 9 to 2008, i stepped from 9 to 2009 and have no real issues, and friends who stepped from 2008 to 2010 had no real issues either :D
These types of questions aren't really useful when starting out. Your manager/director should be communicating with you about your tasks/expectations and hopefully providing guidance. All you really can do is do your best. Usually it takes 3-6 months for the average artist to ramp up fully with the appropriate amount of…
Hello all I started working on modular cave segments a few weeks ago and I could not for the like of me get my 90 degree bends to snap to UDKs grid. I searched and searched the internet void and found nothing on how to do this in modo. I finally found a way how to do it :) I have been using my own pie snapping menu that…
Hi everyone, I just started learning ZBrush. I actually have no knowledge so far about 3D modeling/sculpting and I never draw anything on paper. I am more a software engineer. I always see the cool models here in polycount and also couple of artworks on another site so I want to give it a try. My learning path is currently…
It works if you split this into a two step rename process * first step is here to append the numbering ( so the resulting names all end with _01, _02, _03 etc ... ) * next step is adding the _LP suffix , but UNCHECKING the numbered checkbox Good thing is that the rename dialog is nonmodal and you can change selection etc.…
I don't think the moss on the stairs is too intense necessarily, but it definitely looks wrong to me. The moss looks like it is mainly just growing on the side of the steps, and hardly at all on the top of the steps. Shouldn't it be growing just as much on top of the steps and cascading down? Unless the stairs are seeing…
