Good points JadeEyePanda! I like the emmissive gear for the colours and variation. Just out of a design perspective. I'll try and add some more dirt and damage too his clothing and gear. Maybe some more fabric to keep him warm etc. Thanks for the feedback. Really made me think about this :)
Ok! I was using the zbrush mesh so I could have a "in viewport" reference while I was working, but I've had the feeling that the reference wasn't 100% accurate. I think I know what images you are talking about! I'll find them and use them! Thank you very Much JadeEyePanda!
Great start! What pops out most for me is that the scale of some of your objects seems off. The light blub seems much too large, same problem with the coat rack on the back of the foor. Look up some reference for those items in realation to the stuff around them. And same question as JadeEyePanda, what are you making this…
definitely, JadeEyePanda BagelHero thank you guys so much, and i was never upset about the criticism its what i want, so once again thank you guys a lot, ill go check out those videos and maybe come back to this another time after i learn different parts
Here are the colour changes to the axe that you suggested to do. Ive added more green into the main colour and darkened?deepened the red in the tail and Mouth. (The uploaded image looks a little washed out than it does in game. Not sure how to upload decent images that are not a little washed out. ) @JadeEyePanda, Thank…
If this is for Third person...why is your concept sketch front facing..you'll be seeing his back the majority of the time no? I do agree with JadeEyePanda though..the silhouette isn't strong at all. And I feel some concept elements may benefit this design more if you spend some more time concepting/thumbnailing before…
heres a visual update. I have fixed his shoulders and hips, like ive been so unsure about. But it gave a better silhouette. But also a very hexagonal butt. We cant have everything :P @JadeEyePanda its coming ;) i would love some feedback on the bodys proportions. he doesnt look quite right yet.
@JadeEyePanda thanks :) It's time for an update: I've finished the highpoly back in September, but forgotten to post it here. Maybe someone recognize it from the waywo thread. Over the last weeks I was able to work on the lowpoly and did a testbake today (just auto-smooth and flatten mapping). It looks decent enough for…
@pmiller001 I made that unwrap in UVLayout...it doesn't make any difference in making it straight but undistorted @macoll: I just tried that but it's giving basically the same result. The bricks are straight on one side but they are rotated by around 10 degrees on the other side. #JadeEyePanda Yes I'm planning on utilizing…
I've gotta say, JadeEyePanda, you're really taking all of this critique in-stride. Definitely handling it the best way possible right now ;) I noticed that the head sorta sits on the collar of the space-helmet, whereas in the reference the head is almost perfectly centered. This may also give the illusion of her looking…
