I am making some custom terrain shaders with strumpy's editor and I want to be able to create normals based on my blend mask. Does anyone know how I can turn grayscale data into basic normal mapping info? I have seen someone do this in unreal but I can't remember where.
Cheers guys, after updating to the newest version my old textures I created with a non-pbr-spec-gloss shader turned pink. There is an error message when opening my old files (see image 2) Is there any way to get rid of this problem besides redoing or am I just missing something here?
Can create primitives or joints on a grid but not if grid is not in scene in maya. Whats wrong? So if character is big and grid is tiny, i turn it off. But now I cant place any joints it seems.

I'm creating an Anime looking character right now and I'm debating on keeping it unlit or allowing detailed lighting. I don't know why but SkinShade4 is so much better at making anime models look pleasing than any other materials. Unfortunately, I can't replicate this on Unreal.
