Ok guys, First we set up a flat plane model with a bunch of subdivisions. Than we made a world position offset vertex shader that morphs that model into a sphere. We want to apply reflections to the model, however when the reflections are captured, they seem to be only done after the vertex shader step. ( cutting them in…
You could (in theory) encode all your colours/gradients as a curve or 1dLUT , mark up the various different "material IDs" with vertex color and offset them with parameters on the material instance to index into the curve. bit of a waste of effort though imo :D
no, thats not an option in this case. i absolutely need to have the same vertex order. i have an external program which relies on vertex order to paint "damages". and changing the vertex order means repainting it again.
Hello, I'm trying to attach my meshes to the armature in 3Dsmax. I've already made vertex groups and weight painting stuff in Blender, yet when I import my model, the armature gets messy, so I created an armature exactly like in the Blender. Bone names are all one to one. So, how can I attach my meshes to the armature…
Hey guys, I have a very dense model with per-vertex colour. I need to import this into zbrush, but for the life of me I cannot find a program that will convert from either PLY colour per vertex or Meshlab OBJ colour per vertex to the zbrush OBJ cpv format. Does anyone know of such a thing? For the record, (because people…
-Assign a standard material, with your texture in diffuse. "Show standard map in viewport" on -In the object properties, check vertex channel display (vertex color). You can do this in the vertex paint modifier too, top left cube "vertex color display" Should work. The mix thing is for rendering purpose i guess.
If you use non-uniform scale outside of sub-object mode, it's going to distort the local transform space of the whole model. If you need to scale stuff, best to do it on the sub-object level: Vertex, Edge, Polygon, Element, etc.
Hi there, would like some help on this one in regards to vertex in 3ds max please, just asking if there's a way to move vertex upwards but aligning with the edge direction, local doesn't seem to work and edge constraints doesn't work either. any advice or help is appreciated!
I'm trying to do lighting with vertex lighting.. but its not illuminating anything in my scene when I render, is this another only engine thing? Any tutorials someone can link me? I've been searching but can only find vertex shading not vertex lighting. Thanks.
