  it's just to show where the uv seams are. I always turn it off since i find it pretty useless in most situations. You can turn it off in teh command panel.. show uv seams or something

  klick thin seam displayin the unwrap modifier ... well yeah thick seams are.. meh.

  Up your number of samples (assumming you are using the mental ray ao bake). The higher the number the finer the quality of the ao rendering.

  I was able to get the it a lot better (BLUE) by modifying the cage... but I'm still getting some problem areas (RED).
  
  
  
  Xenoblend: I am rendering in MR. My samples are set at 32. I have a feeling that even if I go higher... that isn't going to fix the problem.... it is just going to make the perfect areas more perfect. :P
