works for me, looks cool manuel!
The eyes are my least favorite part, the shading around the edges of the eyes makes it feel like the eye lid isnt tight to the eyeball.

really like him, but as said before, do more research in the cut of his clothes, it's possible to weave clothing like this these days, but it's expensive and is only used on hightec fabrics, so check out possible cuts for his shirt and jerkin

ya, I gotta go with Bitmap on this one. He's creepy. I always think of Link as a kid (even in the "older" versions like Twilight Princess) Putting facial hair on him and making him kind of grizzled changes everything.

If someone showed me that picture, I would expect it to be another game character that someone dressed up like Link.

Execution is fantastic though, great work!

Man this is creeping me out. The skin of the face looks so real then you have the big kinda cartoony eyes, It all works very well together.

I think he looks creepy because you depicted a child with old skin.
As people age, their NOSE and EARS continue to grow. Link in the picture has a normal (for him) sized nose, and old skin. And that looks scary. So to reduce the scaryness, i think a bigger more he-man jaw, and nose are in order.
Overall, the model is very very nice.

Ye it's nicely done, just a bit odd :P Think it's the eyes that freak me out, you got this realisticish face and texture then big 'ol stylised eyes.

It's looking cool, I really like the colours and the shape/definition of the face. I Agree with Tim about the eyes, although I still think it looks good even if nothing was changed.

Wow - Great work so far. I really like the style you are using... I wouldnt say it creeps me out, but I love how its just not quite human either. For whatever reason his expression makes me think "Zelda, 30 years later". I cant wait to see it finished

I "finished" him. Wanted to render him in maya, but getting a really good skin shader takes ages..

@everybody: eyes got fixed

@neox:the cloth now is 100% realistic

had two fashiondesigner helping me..

@Nostradamus: in the wii version link is righthanded

@ebagg: I wanted to, but i don't have the time...

@Vassago : beeing compared with bill is an honor

@Renaud: except for the "CB_skin" matcap only standard zbrush matcaps. All colors are polypainted, i don't like to have to much color in the matcap.

@aesir : changed a lot of the facial stuctures and the (bigger)nose, but you hardly see it on the screenshot. A to big nose would kill the "link" look

Wind Waker?! Oh man, hell no. DON'T make me imagine HIM living with his grandma and little sister...

Astonishing job, Katze. The clothes look much too modern, clean and neat to me. But this guy doesn't have a lot in common with the Link we know, anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much.
