Hi I would love some critiques on my portfolio work and on my wips that will come shortly.

The turtle is just over 5k tris and with the trees and grass on it's shell its pushing just under 8k tris.

    Well, you don't need that huge square saying it is concept art :)

    What's that bottom texture? Seems like a lot of wasted space as well as repeated texturing.

    Also it's called diffuse and not defuse.

    I kind of like the turtle. The hands don't seem to follow the concept though however I think it looks nice cause this version is more treelike

    The bottom texture was of the tree, it is a lot of wasted space sadly because I had planed to use that space for hanging moss texture but it ended up not working so I scrapped it and just left the space barren.

    And thank you I did not catch the diffuse misspelling.

    Nice concept! It kind of reminds me of The Never Ending Story. They had a turtle looking creature like this in the swamps.. funny thing is it was just on tv last night.

    Anyway.. I think this looks good and I like your creativity. You're good at going from concept to finish, however.. if I were to be picky, I'd say I like your concept art better than your model. Specifically how the turtles face is a bit flatter.. it doesn't protrude out as much.

    Oh, and before someone else says anything.. post your wireframes if you got 'em.

    Im trying to make a lizard man yet have him old and frail. I would love some advice on it so far. At the moment the model is sitting at just over 4k tris.

    Looks nice, the tree texture looks odd because of the unused space you should fix that.

    Here is an up date of what the character looks like now. I have unwraped him, added some gear and removed his left arm.

    Ah here is the concept art for it.

    He is suppost to be older then I drew him in the concept art so I made him a bit thinner and less buff.

    You seem to be missing the mark for your 3D models on all the things that make your concepts cool - the sharp shapes, the personality, and the proportions.

    The sculpt seems to have a lack of both big and medium detail, making the whole thing look pretty flat
