hey I know its a bit early this time around but I was just curious anyone hitting to GDC this year?

Im gonna try to go. Maybe we could have a polycount meet up or something?

hell youtube has it dunno why polycount dosent!

GDC in san fran = no.

February GDC in san fran = hell no.

I liked GDC in san jose, and in may it was so nice. It was a great combo.
On the other hand the Moscone Center area of san fran is sleazy and dirty. I don't like to have to worry about getting mugged or beaten up while i'm having fun. The time i went thats exactly what i felt like was going to happen. Add in the fact it will be cold and wet, hell no!

Yeah they moved it up a month which is crap. Why not move GDC to San Diego or back to San Jose. I also wouldn't have to worry about getting mugged while I'm stumbling around and the convention center in San Diego would be awesome and we wouldn't have to deal with the horrible parking and transportation that is in San Fran.

Blah... either way I'll probably be wherever it is.

man I wont even lie im not really caring for the location either, asside from jack in the box theres nothing in cali' I really care for, and the area Ive heard from alot of people is Bleh...but I dont care for the scenary just mostly bars and the convention itself and where I pass out (hopefully a hotel)

well maybe we should add each others AIM/msn Names to stay in contacts with one another before GDC rolls around?

eh well I still wanna move there, but as far as touring and stuff, I hit to the jelly belly factory with some friends 2 years ago during the week we were there and we did the clam chowder bowl, and jack in the box...

I live in florida so the women shift went from giant latin asses to giant tits instead and went from brunette to blondes for the most part from what I saw

other than that the bars were nice

I'll be their. Havn't gone to any major industry events before, but I'm expecting to be blown away by sheer awsomeness.

Also, their should be something like Polycount supporter pins so if we come accross other fellow Polycounters we'll know.

I've gone for the past three years and enjoyed it. Got my job at the last one

Unfortunately I'm not going this year, as my company isn't going to send me and the incentive to drop $2,000 when I already have a job I love is pretty low.

I guess I need to come up with a speech for GDC 2009 so I can get in for free.

As has been the case the past few years, I will not be attending the GDC (both because I think it's BS to be in SF, and cause I don't care to waste a vacation day), but if anyone's around long enough to stop on by the south bay area, message me up.
