Where are the entry levels/ junior positions?

Hey guys! I’ve been trying to get a job for about 6 months now, but all I get is silence or automated rejection emails with no feedback. I graduated back in March and I'm looking for entry-level 3D artist roles. I’m from Brazil and don't really have many connections or friends pursuing careers in animation, so I feel a bit in the dark. I would love to get some advice, tips, or portfolio feedback from Senior/ Mid-level/ Junior artists—or even from anyone who recently landed their first industry job! I’m sharing my portfolio below and would deeply appreciate any critiques or comments on my work. Thanks in advance!

Getting a job now is going to be rough even for the most talented people - especially if the industry in your country isn't very large so don't be disheartened.

    ok..
It's hard to tell what you want to do from your portfolio and honestly you're going to need to produce more work and focus your efforts on whatever it is you want to do.

For me, the little isometric room diorama is your strongest piece by a long way - the color and composition are really nice and I think you would do well to lean into that. Perhaps you could build more shops from the same street and present them together? it would show that you can stick to a style and play with worldbuilding / storytelling within it - which is pretty important for environment artists.

    Great feedback.

If you want to see some guidance from other junior artists, see Recently hired in AAA? Show us your portfolio. Plus we have more similar things in the Sticky at the top of this section.

@poopipe That makes a lot of sense! I honestly thought being a bit of a generalist was better. Thanks for pointing out my standout pieces, I wouldn't have noticed that on my own.

And @Eric Chadwick , Thanks for sharing! I hadn't come across this thread yet.
