Been submersing myself in a lot of nostalgia lately for better or worse… so at least I’ll try produce something from it. Just wanted to do simple modeling and painting without sculpting.

I may try to do some of the other characters, if I ever end up finishing this one.

Will likely keep it to early-mid 2000's look.

Ha, neat choices here fun looking little project.
I hope it takes off well & its completed, rooting over here for ya.

It is nice to see something i collected also once upon a time, if you want some pix for references (only if you can't find any) i got the comix still laying around here in a box in my closet, some cards too.  (haven't look at them in over 10 years i think so)

Think there was an issue 0 of this, i managed to snag it, never heard of an issue zero before so when i actually started to pay attention to the numbers cause they could be "valuable", i was surprised everyone always takes about issue (1)'s.

Anywho can you tell i want to see more? i drew that guy (right side img)on the far left once.  Memory lanes has been revisited, i hope you continue & do well with this.

Thanks, iam717! I was able to find a bunch of references online.

    Painted some hair cards:

Loving this but I believe the muddy colors get in the way. Don't make skin just darker brown in the shadows - it moves towards red due to subsurface scattering. Most shadows on skin are slightly glowing red and there is a clear red subsurface band along the shadow terminator.

You can research but let me know if you'd like a quick visualization.

I would push it further than life is strange did it, but still notice how the shadow beneath his chin is reddish hue instead of the darker brown:

Even here - the red from the cheek is almost the same hue as around her jawline:

You can see it a lot more pronounced here in Spiderman. Especially the ears, but also nostrils and chin.

Your color palette generally feels more green in tone than even your reference, which makes the skin feel a bit dead. You can see on the color wheel a lot of the spiderman hue is in red area of the color wheel. Yours is shifted right and less saturated.

P.s. Admins so sorry for double posting, I just these ideas hours later 🙏
