I agree. Hop onto Wickr, we'll need a cell in Asia once the summer holidays start. You can't just WOLOLOLO and turn every rotten CEO into Shigeru Miyamoto, I'm sorry. Gonna be honest, this is all deeply unwise to be saying on an account connected to your professional profile, whether you're trolling or not.
Whacking a CEO won't give you leverage. You'll end up dead or in prison, neither of which will be of any use to your case. You need to whack the system that creates them.
VinceOrcis said: This is why it's gotta be a focused, organized action with a clear ultimatum and a manifest, Louigi case teaches one-time happenings are easily forgotten and marginalized. Also makes harder to damage control, you cannot just shrug it off as a lone psycho when there is a clear statement and a chain of consecutive globally distributed warning action. The replacement will know with certainty what exactly caused his predecessor's fate, and how not to repeat it, we're not animals. What do you do to ppl who treat you as furniture, won't accept criticism, bend the law in their favour, and dismantle any means of labor protection? Seriously, I'm all ears.
imo talking about or suggesting we kill people on polycount is a a bit far, especially in an industry as innocuous as ours

This is what happens when you're raised on internet memes
without ever learning real revolutionary history or theory. History is
pretty clear on the effectiveness of adventurists, that random acts of
terror is unproductive as it hinders actual working class movements.
Every time you get workers organizing and starting to fight back, here
come the adventurists to draw away attention and productive action.
Adventurists claim they act on behalf of the workers but they carry our
terrorism without consideration, collaboration, or ties to workers. Same as it was in the early 1900s as it is now.
Luigi
is no different. He didn't meet with any healthcare workers to learn
their grievances. He didn't join them on the picket line. He didn't try
to unionize or organize with them. Instead he just decided to take
matter into his own hands, with no real plan or larger goal. His actions
did nothing and millions are still uninsured and the healthcare
industry continues unabated. CEOs increased their security headcount for
like 6 months. Wow, thanks based vigilante! (sarcasm). He's not even
ideologically coherent, participating in the "effective altruism" scam
philosophy pushed by tech CEOs and oligarchs. No thanks.
Don't confuse media coverage with effectiveness. Just because it makes the "other side" mad on the internet doesn't mean it's good.
>if violence ever solved a problem with basic greed and corruption Man time is a flat circle. Okay. Guess we live in a fairyland where ppl just turn decent overnight without incentive. And need I remind you how Stop Killing Games fair-and-square-legal campaign was sabotaged by a single nepo baby. So, no legal ways to agency. No ways to unionize. No publicity to attract attention. Amir is doing God's work, but that's a drop in a desert. So I ask you again - what is the alternative? I'm not advocating sht anymore, I'm honestly curious.
>you sound radicalized no sarcastic oneliner Zeng? Ah, maybe you'll get more jolly when Gabe Newell goes and Microsoft takes over Steam. Then we'll enter a new indie Golden Era for sure.

Not sure if those workers had leveraged or thought to proceed with crowdfunding, in order to fund further litigation brought against Rockstar North. Anyway imo could potentially bring on board high powered legal muscle, say KC / Barrister types? which may help attain a better outcome in the next block of scheduled hearings.

I'll quote Michael Parenti (who just died, RIP) from his book Blackshirts & Reds:
“The very concept of "revolutionary violence" is
somewhat falsely cast, since most of the violence comes from those who
attempt to prevent reform, not from those struggling for reform. By
focusing on the violent rebellions of the downtrodden, we overlook the
much greater repressive force and violence utilized by the ruling
oligarchs to maintain the status quo, including armed attacks against
peaceful demonstrations, mass arrests, torture, destruction of
opposition organizations, suppression of dissident publications, death
squad assassinations, the extermination of whole villages, and the
like.”
In other words, you're starting backwards. Most of labor struggle does not start in violence. People want to organize in peace, they want to protest and strike in peace. They are happy to negotiate and discuss and demonstrate without violence. It's the monied interests that see a threat to their status who begin the violence, much like we're seeing in the US right now. Once those in power begin violence, then people must respond by defending themselves.
The incentive for the billionaire CEOs of the game industry is that they lose their labor force overnight because have organized and withdrew their labor from markets. It's an incentive that has worked for over a century at this point. Once the state sends in goons to crush an organized game developer industry, then you can talk about violence (but not on polycount.com).
>It's an incentive that has worked for over a century at this point Doesn't mean it will continue. Shift to AI slop, buy Steam, ban the competition, gg wp. Ubisoft will do just fine, mark my words.

I'll post some spicy memes but there are clear boundaries that I wouldn't touch with a 100-mile pole. There's a lot to be frustrated and angry over. Corruption runs rampant and unchecked. American values, rights, laws, and lives are being destroyed.
Take a breather, step outside and touch grass. When you're back I would even consider asking Eric to delete your comment about Louigi. NSA/FBI certainly has his name flagged as a keyword, leave your Wickr group and never talk about that shit ever again online, or anywhere, for that matter. In good times that's toying with a felony, and under the current administration it's toying with a visit from trigger happy morons.
All of this has happened, and will happen again. What won't happen again, is you existing on this planet as a sentient human being, with 4 intact limbs, 2 eyes, and I would wager +/- 60 years left to make with what you will. You can choose to create or destroy. Ideally, as an artist, you would choose to create.

A solution to capitalism? Its been tried. Experiences may differ to what is advertised.
Luigi was an idiot. He could have used his inheritance to do a world of good and instead is facing the death penalty head on. All his actions did was expose many women attracted to criminals who regularly show up to support him like Harley Quinn. Many of these women were once men and I don't know if Luigi swings both ways. I'm quite sure several are fans of Dragon Age the Veilguard.
That said, large gaming conglomerates are collapsing and at best they will rely on flagship titles and established ip's to survive while turning to publishing and marketing over the risk that comes with new ips.
I do hope that independent studios that have found success refuse any buyout offers and that AAA are eventually forced to license out their ips. I don't really get why they don't already license out a game thats close to finishing production rather than shutting it down and liquidating entire studios.
Like Prince of persia could have absolutely been licensed out at the stage of development it was in to another company to finish with profit share. AAA game development should be more cooperative, a lot of the secrecy in development comes from the marketing side of corporate structure.
Let's avoid talking any more about murderers here, and while we're at it let's not disparage genders either OK? It's really not cool.
Didn't mean to disparage, There's a community in Dragon Age Veilguard that supports Luigi, even going so far as to recreate him as a companion. https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonAgeVeilguard/comments/1hfclxb/luigi_mangione/ Really messed up. I'm probably gonna cop a warning for this, and that's fair, I'll take it, but get absolutely fucked, NikhilR.
Are you capable of going more than a few posts without crowbarring in your bigotry?
Let me just break down your comment because I know you're going to do your usual bit where you pretend you only accidentally did a bigotry.
Randomly taking potshots at women as if there's not a million guys online who are also treating him like a modern day Robin Hood. Because misogyny.
Also, potshot at Harley Quinn that only works if you know nothing about the kind of character she's been for like the last 20 years and tells me your opinion of her is almost certainly formed exclusively by MauLer-type YouTube channels. Let me guess, you reckon Birds of Prey was a terrible movie but you never watched it, right? (The real reason you dislike it is women bad, by the way.) You're a tourist. A poser, even.
Naked transphobia by suggesting Mangione would have to be bisexual to be attracted to trans women; in other words, calling us men. Also, it's just such a fucking weird thing to say. Do you hear yourself? Do you actually think before you type?
You are so fucking desperate to moan about Dragon Age The Veilguard it's actually abysmal. And we all know the reason you want to is the same as all the others, because you don't like that it's "woke" because someone told you so, which you've made abundantly clear in your other posts where you also couldn't read the room and shut the fuck up.
Reference to the new Prince of Persia that capital-G Gamers are angry at because they dared make the Prince of Persia look roughly fucking Persian, and I know that's what you're angry about no matter what else you'll claim.
I don't know why you're allowed here, honestly. I can't remember the last time I saw you make a post that wasn't grinding one of your axes.
