Polycount was birthed April 1 1998. So we usually do something funky on April 1, and this year is no exception. We're trying on a new forum theme.
It's gonna be rough, it's gonna get bumpy, hold onto your butts. Let us know what you like, and what's borked.
Thanks to everyone for making this community great, helping each other out and learning new stuff together. This is what's always made this place great.

OMG... yeah, that makes me feel old.
Didn't know polycount was that old damn. I think only problem with new theme is some elements could be separated.
For example a line here? Or lighter background there to separate top part from actual text.
Also text box is pretty much not visible
The forums have been running on a mountain of bandaids with the old theme, so there were features breaking all the time as the underlying forum software gets updated.
Front page was especially messed up. And basically unfixable.
So now we’re trying out the new Theme system, see if we can make it work.
If not, we could always just revert back.

I like the look n feel of the new theme but it's a rough ride on mobile :)

Yeah mobile is an ugly layout. So much misalignment and wasted space.
Also agree about the reply field, should be previewing the formatting more like the post.
Don’t like how our names are in all caps. Rank colors are gone. Greentooth gone from the + button.
The front News page is much nicer tho. Best Of shows any post with 3 or more + votes, so it will now be constantly updated.
Happy birthday Polycount! It's amazing to see any site last as long as Polycount has, very few sites can claim to have so much history.

It’s the new Theme system from Vanilla Forums, that Polycount runs on.
There’s some additional customization possible, I’ll look into it in a bit.
