Beginner AO question

Hi , I'm just starting with marmoset and I made this simple two meshes to bake normal and AO.
Normal works fine but AO looks wrong, It's like if the floating geometry was double sided or something.

Any tips please?

My red mesh doesn't have UV's only the plane has UV's but I don't think that is the cause of this issue.

By the way, my mesh is 90 mm height , what is the right inner and outer distance for the height map in marmoset?

I don’t know how relevant this is, but I came to such a decision. Maybe someone else will come in handy.

The bottom line is to raise your floater higher so that it does not cast shadows when baking, on the lower object

Try turning off the Two-Sided option in the AO settings. If you need this setting enabled, you may want to bake two maps, one with it on and another with it off, and blend between them in an image editor.
