Create from polypaint texture is pixelated

Does anyone know why my polypaint texture is pixelated when I press "New from Polypaint" in Zbrush? I Projected the polypaint information from a higher resolution model I polypainted on and used this tutorial.

Is the mesh mirrored and are you using symmetry? If so, if the symmetry is slightly off that could cause this issue. Otherwise, double check the UV's.

The preview of the texturemap looks pretty wonky. The UVs seem all stretched and crammed onto the very top 5% of the texture map. You'll also want to make sure the UVs aren't extending past (or even touching) the 0:1 range.

what's going on with the texture though? Can you explode that? This is what cyrid noticed.

I believe that by default, zbrush is flipping UV channel. In the UV menu there I think there's a button to flip, but check the docs about that so you know what to do exactly.

What do you mean by "explode that"? Also I flipped the Uv channel and all it did was reverse the pixelated texture to the other eye.

I got it to work, not sure what the problem was I think it just the model didnt have the right UVs so I just re-Uv'd it.

Share the Tool file if you can. That'll be a quick way for someone to see what's going on.

Why would you do this in Zbrush in the first place though? You can also bake vertex colors (aka polypaint) in Marmoset Toolbag 3 or even in the free xNormal, from high to low. Just wondering.
