UV maps in the scene

Hello everyone! Sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue;) So i created a small scene just for this topic to find an answer I seek. And here it is: should I use 1 uv map for all the objects in the scene or 1 for each of them, for example make one for table, one for fridge, glasses, walls and so on. I'm talking about uv maps, not materials. The thing is that I've seen many works where some objects share 1 uv map and some have personal maps. And I cannot find the answer how it should be done. I'm trying to understand how many uv maps should I use for scenes like that and others. I know that there is no rule of thumb for the number of maps, I'm just trying to figure out how it will be right. I also know that it better to use different uv maps for objects with different shaders, used for materials such as glass and metal, for glass is transparent and metal is not.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm only a beginner in 3d world. Thanks a lot, have a nice day!
