[Complete] Panzer Ausf IV D

Hello, I've been working on this project for awhile now the Panzer Ausf. IV D. So far I have the highpoly model finished just have to UV map the lowpoly model and texture it, then create the diorama.

Looks solid for the most part, there seems to be some weird normals on the front:

I'd also suggest uploading the images to something other than photobucket. Uploading to Imgur or directly here to Polycount makes it a lot easier to open the images fullscreen.

Update: Bakes are done and diorama is complete, now I just have to texture and possibly tidy up the scene.

I think you got some reversed normals there, did you turn them manually in photoshopp?

I'm really fascinated by your work, especially the renders and choosing of this nice atmosphere, May I know how you created this nice grass and mud ground?

Thank you, I'm glad you like my work! As for creating the grass I used Fiberfx in Zbrush then exported as fbx. For the ground mud, I actually sculpted the diorama then I used different shades of brown and tan in Substance Painter to the ground.

I think you could push it more with better textures. Take a look at at some of the tanks made by other artists:

Your textures look very grungy, try to add wear and tear to places that make sens instead of everywhere.

I dont know if you have a backstory in mind but the winter camouflage with green grass next to it looks weird

I agree with you so I went back and toned down the white to more of a gray. Let me know what you guys think. I feel like it slowly getting there I just have to train myself to catch errors in details.

I think this would suit many games where polygon budget is limited, it would be a good asset, and would probably run on mobiles. I think if you wanted to compete with the tanks you see being made for world of tanks then you would have to change some things , you could have a much higher polygon budget. You Could have much bigger textures and therefore would be able to put more detail into the textures. I think for the budget you have you have done a good job. Its a solid piece. You could aim higher though and look at some of the tanks on artstation for inspiration.

Thank you for the feedback. I was trying to compete with World of Tanks, although like you said I could have gone higher on polycount. Next time I will try to get past that limit.

I think your tank can use some contrast especially in the tracks. If you look at textures from world of tanks they have nice wear where you can see the dark steel and brown paint around it. I think more interesting wear would help your project a lot
