That poor thins. He is adorable! In a game, how would you go about to create an animation for that? Or would you only do it in cut-scenes when sneeze transforms? Would be interesting to hear how you would go about to solving that.
lotet - hahaha bane was in mind when I was workin on this guy
nuclear angel - I don't have an exact game plan for it yet, but I imagine using two different animated models that I could swap in and out with some clever use of particle effects.
Got some more progress done on the highpoly. I'm thinking about doing some prints for this char and the brute formed version so I'll be moving on to getting it posed and push the sculpt some more.
Going to save this T-Pose mesh for modeling my lowpoly for when I make a game version out of it.
Thank you Asura, will hopefully get to build him out soon.
Got both forms of Sneeze together. Not sure if I should combine them or if it seems confusing since they are the same character. Also thinking about doing a print of this at 7.5 inches. Next up lowpoly hand-painted versions!
Lotet - No worries, its a valid question! They are suppose to be feline, some parts referenced from a black eared desert lynx. Wanted the look to be skinny and roughed up. Plan to have a lot of these guys up on the screen at the same time so I'll be needing some more variants of this character. I could definitely have one with no mask so it is more clear what the viewer is looking at, thanks man!
Awesome work you have here, didn't know about this thread sadly Really love the color scheme going on with "Commander Finlay" ! Cool vibe going on thru out the whole project, I wonder if you any plans for this to be turned in to a game, or maybe some kind of comic? I might be halucinating, but I feel like your newer stuff are a bit less rendered out then the previous artworks on page two, or on the first. Is this premeditated or I'm just plain blind?
Thanks man, it was initially going to be a art book project for me, but it is now a prototype for a sidescroller shoot em up game I want to make. I've been working on it with a few people right now and hope to post some actual gamedev stuff soon. Reminds me that I should edit my original post so that it is more clear of what I'm doing!
Yeah as I've been developing the concepts I've been changing my style a little bit. I'm trying to stay a little looser instead of trying to over render. Maybe I've gone too far though? Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do about unifying the differences better.

Took a break from Sneeze and worked on concepting enemy cannon fodder.

This will be a boss character for the pilot level, he is the leader of the clan.
I need to take another pass on the melee fodder to unify the designs more.
Hope ya like it!

I decided to take a step back and rethink what I wanted to do with this whole project.
Planning to do all of this for a tablet/mobile platform.
With that in mind, I wanted to simplify both the design and the rendering.
Think I am going to move forward with this new direction, hope you guys like it.
Link are broken, for some reason you cant link from Artstation.
as for the re-design, I Think the new one looks better overall, but the face could use slightly more detail.
