Hello,
Since Bloodborne is what I played 90% of 2016 I thought Id make my own hunter.
Been working on it for about a month, thought Id share and see what people think. Jumping off point is that the character is a member of rival church to the Healing church.
Ceremonial Mace: A mace filled with burning incense
For it to transform will have some sort of trigger that makes it open up into a flaming mace (For Maximum Damage :P )
I started off by doing a body base and over that a concept sculpt, after a few sculpts I came to this:
Then I used my limited 2d skills to try n flesh out some areas, and get a more refined overall concept:
Backstory: Before the main church discovered its
true miracles in the form of the old blood, traditional faiths existed,
this member of the older, now forgotten churches takes out her crisis
of faith on followers of the heretical healing church....

Been working on the jacket folds and the pattern stitching (which takes forever!) Next I guess is designing the head necklace and how the hair sits around it.
Added in some details, watch chain, pouch and head necklace. Next up is detailing the face and wear and tear. Also gave some temporary colours to her face just as a test.
Keep doing what you're doing, you are on the right track.
Love love love, been wanting to do a bloodborn character for a while but now I think i'm gonna live it vicariously through you. You are really nailing this!
the wrapping on the mace is still in a very early stage right?
May I ask what matcap do you use for the clothing?
The detail on this is just really lovely! Well done!
Will be watching this closely for sure, keep on kicking ass!
fantastic work. I can't wait to see this getting baked !
Johnnynapalmsc yup theyre all sculpted.
Coming to the end of the scupting phase
Ive added damage to the clothes, which will be built upon in substance painter.
Ive added pores n wrinkles to the face, if anyone has any pointers on face detailing that would be handy!
Ive updated the mace wraps and added some sculpted damage.
nearly time to go into hibernation with the endless retopology. :P
Some tight chain wrapping might fit better or fine woven leather straps or velvet with a metal net wrap.
Cheers Nikolas3D and SladeDigital!
@Prime8 I see what you mean, but the crude wraps are to keep with the theme of other bloodborne weapons that have them, leather would probably make more sense.
Im back from my retoplogy/uv/baking hibernation!
These pics are just blank albedos (except for the hair and wool) with normal maps and ao maps applied.
Firstly doing some hair tests, which will look weird until i get some skin under there.

Wool/fur was done using Joost's technique, big thanks to him!
Close up of the trims. That cloak fur will get redone after texturing.
Next up is diving into texturing.
