Hey Polycount!
I would love to join the community and looking forward to share my work with everyone and giving / getting feedback. Im currently an art student at NHTV in the Netherlands.
Hello PolyCount, I have a project in the works and would like to find some Artists to hire. Could you give me the privilege of posting a thread in the 'Work Opportunities' category? I have read the rules and I will post in the appropriate subforum.
I'm gonna make this short and sweet like a mini key lime pie
HELLO MY FRIENDS!
my name is the equation for gamer
i'm a noble Team Fortress 2 modele who loves the game inside and out
that started his routes from the facepunch forums and let me just say
this is a grand step up and i am honored to be apart of this great community.
My gramer is shot,
but my ideas are not,
and its a pleasure just to be here
I'm a character artist from germany. I'm admiring the works here for quite some time and visiting the site almost daily. So now is finally the time for making my account :P
Hey I've been around here for awhile but only just got round to activating this account. I'm a game art student at Hertfordshire with much to learn but aspiring to achieve a fair bit of greatness glad to finally start becoming part of the community!
I'm a professional games designer/programmer, used to be a professional 3D artist, but I've lost many of my artistic skills to my gaining of programming skills, hoping to get them back by hanging around these forums, asking silly questions and for some c&c.
My tools of choice are Blender ( read: Blender whore :P ), Gimp, Inkscape and Krita. I'm an ex-Max whore ( anyone remember Wahooney Tools or Rigging Army Knife? That was me. )
So yeah, hello, hope to become part of the furniture.
Hello!
I am a 3D artist trying to get my career going. I just graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in Game Art. I am just here to get some inspiration, and maybe find some work. I'm ready to get out there! :DDDD
Hello Adam and hello to all of Polycount, I look forward to seeing what artists here create and sharing my own work from various projects, and to always be learning and gaining knowledge from some of the best!
Hello. I am posting here since the introduction email said I had to.
The reason I made an account on Polycount was in order to post this potentially useful information about using Game Style PBR textures in rendering engines such as VRay. (Important since there is a lot of art already created using game style PBR textures that could be reused in VRay... except that vray doesn't have the same inputs as game PBR shaders.)
I'd searched around the internet and not found a good solution (or even an intelligent discussion on the topic) so I made a solution myself. There may of course be discussions/solutions related to this that I simply haven't found, but a lot of folks have already found my solution useful, so I thought I'd share.
I joined this forum because I wanted to share something potentially useful for people using Game Style PBR textures, but wanting to render their work in popular renderers like VRay.
I wrote a document on the topic that a lot of others have already found useful, so I thought I'd share.
Perhaps a moderator can tell me where I should put this information on Polycount. I am brand new here!
(BTW, the forum seemed to fail to submit a similar post I tried to post moments ago. Apologies if there is a double post from me!)
Hallo Polycount community! My name is Alondra! I am new to 3D designing but it is a dream of mine to make video games and such! So I hope all goes well and I'm able to learn such things.
