My name's Justin Spognardi and I'm a game art student at Champlain College. I'm currently trying to focus on game environments and I thought I'd make an account to get more feedback and meet some cool people. My website is justinspognardi3d.squarespace.com
I'm a Computer Games Development student at college, English born and bred. I hope to post here often, as my portfolio of 3D models and 2D art slowly, yet surely grows.
Well versed in Cinema 4D, and I'm re-learning Blender after a fairly lengthy hiatus of using it. I'm pretty good with Photoshop, but still have much to learn.
Hello, my name is Jessica and I'm a self-taught artist from Italy. I've been browsing this forum for a while and as I'd like to partecipate in the Riot Games Art Contest, I've finally decided to join the community. Thank you!
Hi, I'm an amateur 3d artist and I found out about polycount through an artist friend. I really look forward to joining the community and working to improve myself.
Which has afforded me the wonderful opportunity to work with many wonderful graphic artists over the years, and have always inspired me to improve my own CG skills.
As a mater of fact it was 3D animation, and interactive design and development that got me into computers in the first place (early 90s).
Well, after many years of making a living (though don't get me wrong I love building beautiful and easy to use websites, it's just that I currently work in a very boooooring industry, that doesn't offer many projects that you can't wait to wake up and get started on again, from a CG perspective. New and exiting Tech on the other hand, they have always been quite generous in that regard), and having had quite a few dark experiences this year... in combination they made me think about a bucket list (yep, that bad), and then remember, again (finally), why I got into computers in the first place was the beautiful, animated and interactive works of art you could do with them (after long hours of patience and practice - like anything else worth being good at).
So, starting this summer I started picking up software here and there that I thought could help me reach for my dream again, without breaking the bank.
ICGE (integrated computer graphics environment; AKA: IDE): Blender, Cheetah3D, DAZStudio4 64-bit, Shade 3D Basic ver.14 and Shade 3D for Unity (FREE)
Game Engine: Unity
Things have sure changed sine the last time I looked into the 3D world (2 decades ago), and I know I have a lot to learn, and probably still to add to my current tool-chain, but I do believe this will keep me busy for a spell
Looking forward to seeing your work, and learning from your advice and examples.
I wanna be good at what I'm Studying (3D Modeling) and I hear amazing things about this website. People are super helpful at correcting your work and bettering yourself. So thats my goal to be the best me I can be (I know sounds pretty lame lol but its true). My first Poly Count post!
Peace
- Looking forward to being apart of this community.
