It's Civil War Season. And this polycount ain't big enough for the uhh... 7 of us.
We've all been wanting to do a civil war for a long time, but shit keeps coming up. So we decided to just lump together into one giant battle of the gen's to settle the score once and for all!

but I wanted to revive this thread and post a tiny little 3d blockout progress and share that i do have an idea haha. I'm representing the diffuseheavy side - ya down wit ya young hipsters and yer PBR!
I'm doing some sorta pastry princess. It's sorta a common design idea, but I like the pairing of fancypants victorian aesthetics with delicious foods. I still don't 100% have an idea on the renderstyle, so I did some textures on a few random doodads.
anyway here's my 3dvomit of something that sorta maybe resembles what i might wanna do. maybe. haha I like to work chaotically when it's personal work to shake free of the sterile methodical approach we hafta stick to in production. Hopefully I don't regret that. But I'll be attempting to design stuff as i go

all week Ive been sketching based off the designs from shrapnel, and I didn't feel that I was quite ready to tackle the blockout of the armour yet. so doing this basemesh was a good way to get started and get to know the character before making any final decisions about the (more important) armor design.
decided to record my timelapse from the weekend. there's some awkward parts where my sculpting was out of frame from the timelapse, but It hopefully will be a good document of my process. I started from Undoz's basemesh, and just played with shapes til I liked the result.
