Haha, I know what you mean. It's like dropping into an any random art thread and expecting to find more art and what you instead find is 4 pages of posts that are variations on:
"OMG amazing! Straight to the inspiration folder! Subscribed!"
I wish there was an option to only mark a thread as having new comments if the OP has posted or something...
thanks for making us all look slow and lame, weish!
I think there's an unwritten rule somewhere that whenever you start one of these, you all get super busy at work. We're still alive though!
It's not much but I think I've finally started to figure out a texture style for now, and I made a little cupcake crown for my character. It'll always look weird till I get the hair going, but I might move on to other bits. Lookin forward to seeing where everyone else is at!
Looking tight funky, getting the tinglies thinking about how u do that hair - so u better do it soon O_O
Did a step by step for the witches head, all about starting rough and loose, then building up colour and contrast. Hope it helps the people who were curious about it.
amazing Weish! thanks for that tutorial, now I can steal your skills! but do I need to know how to draw to do this? that's gonna be a problem.
I'm reallly crawling along on this one. but I blocked out, and then retopo'd the armour.
from here I'm going to be cleaning up some of the pinching/blobbyness while adding details, then Ill take it back into Zbrush to beat it up a bit.
Necro!
I'm kinda stuck in Sub-D purgatory right now. some stuff is still very blockout-ish.
but I'm hoping to start working on lowpoly and textures before the second coming happens so ill be finishing things up soon, any thoughts mates?

Been texturin 'er up in Quixel suite and let me tell you.. working in that app is quixel SWEET! Finally rounded the learning curve and lost my fixation with making it work like dDo1. Im still WIP on the textures. I might need to pull back the grime and scratches but I really want her too look battleworn. Once I get everything right on the face im going to add blood and scrapes to that aswell so she doesnt look so untouched. Then I have to do the weapons, and pose her and... shesh. Anyways let me know what you guys think!
Ok I returneth to revive this thread once more!!
This time i think im going to call this done whatever that means. Its mostly because I'm wanting to move on to other projects.
So I've kind of been sitting on this for like 6+ months, I kind of repainted and redesigned the crap out of it and I guess now is a good a time as any to revive this thread (and probably put it to rest)
call-outs for people to finish who i know have more work they haven't shown here: Chris "Funkybunnies" Whitaker and Michael "LRoy" Ulloa ]: < get on it
