Hi Polycount! My Name is Jahn Hummel I graduated in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Game Design. Currently I'm working as a 3D artist but not (yet) in a game studio.
I'm going to be posting mostly 3D work and some handmade sketches.

great, that you started a sketchbook, I am sure it will be a good step to improve.
I like the stuff you posted, but i have some suggestions.
the anatomy stuff could be a bit more polished, there are a lot of rough brush-strokes. maybe it would be better for your understanding of anatomy if you would simplify the forms a bit more. the noise is making it not easier to remember, when you want to apply it to you own designs.
the monkey is a cool idea, but the fur is a bit dark. maybe you could make it a bit more differentiated. and then you could make the eyes brighter to put the focal point there.
but good work there, much potential

Thanks for the crit! Yeah I guess some of those brush strokes look pretty coarse. As for the Monkey, I'm kind of sick of him..so I'm not fixing him for now. I'm currently working on a new project that I will post some pictures of as soon as I have something presentable.
