Hey everyone. My name is Michael Pedro; I am a senior concept artist working in the film and gaming industries, currently employed at Certain Affinity in Austin, Texas.
I'm pre-beginner at graphic design having never done anything relevant to it ever (unless you count mindless doodling)
In place of starting a new topic can someone pm me some info (I have done some googling but I haven't gained much off it)
what software do I need to go from idea conception to final production for an item for tf2/dota 2?
are there any really cheap versions of the software since I'm on a seriously tight budget?
do I need one of those tablets for drawing on?
My name is Lachlan and I am interested in making art in 3D software, and figured I'd make an account as I find this communities forum threads intriguing, and its wiki insightful and very helpful.
Hi, I'm new here. I heard polycount is a great way to make connections with people in the game art industry and perhaps lead onto some relevant opportunities.
Hello Everyone!
I'm currently a student working for my Game Arts Bachelors of Science degree.
I am hoping to learn a lot here and meet some interesting people as well!
I'm taking my senior project class, and am running late on everything. It seems like no amount of hours is enough. I am required by class speculation to post my work as it is in its current state now. It is "done". I will be posting that work hopefully very soon. The opportunity for feed back on what is done would be great.

I'm an Astronomer in phase of changing his career. I've done some 2D art and designs but now I'm planning to start learning 3D design, animation, etc. My dream is to find work from the industry. It's nice to meet you all.
Hello people. I've been wanting to join this forum for a long time, just never got around to it until now. I am really looking forward to getting feedback and criticism.
I'm a military vet, now turned student of game design at DigiPen institute up in Washington state. I specialize in visual design, and oversee/create 3d and 2d assets/concepts, with a good command of many scripting languages to boot. Happy to be here and learn from other artists to expand my skill set.

I've worked on some projects most of which were shutdown
MLP:fiends from dream valley - concept artist
MLP: ROTCS - sprite artist/ animator
since these projects were shut down i've moved on and decided to get back to my basics and work on my skills.
thus bringing me to this wonderful community full of amazing artists.
Thanks.
