Hi all ..
Ive just joined up here in the lovely world of Polycount and am ready to start art dumping

. Looking forward to some feedback good or bad, Ill take it all on. Anyway here goes ...

This was sculpted in Zbrush and rendered in Photoshop. Not sure about the blood. Really liking CS6.

Great work on the Joker, very compelling visual style.

I'd say lose the blood, or make it more subtle. The Joker is typically a clean character when he's not dark knight seria killer style Joker.

Overall good stuff.

3d stuff looks cool, though I donno technically anything about it. The last painting is really nice looking, I like the composition and the idea. Took me a while to spot the head though, would be one thing I'd change a bit. Anyways, cool mecha stuff!

Mindinart .. If you have any specific questions on what/how Ive done something, just ask. Here is another version of the Mech without a head and the first initial sketch with a cool head, not sure why I changed it. When I get some time I will paint in the original head design.

Here is a bag I built from scratch .. to the right is all the layers I used to create it in Photoshop. I rendered it out in photoshop using Photoshops IBL lighting, not as nice as Marmoset thats for sure but useable.

I really am amazed at the painterly detail you go through with your mechs and your traditional sketches!!

Hmm...for the dino character, perhaps get rid of the (wonderfully designed) patterns on his PJs so that the focus is on his face and belly more. Just a suggestion though.

I really like your dino character its really cute. the red bow tie draws your eye to the centre of the character, but I feel it should not be the attention point. You should try to get his face more saturated to attract the eye to it. I think it will balance it better. Keep up the good work. Loving it

It looks better with the patterns faded out a bit more. Looking good! Though now the tail's pattern stands out in comparison, unless that's your intention.
I see it's going from Dino Boy to Hallow Boy with a thirst for blood, tiny nose and horns, while there's no more hair strands nor rounded spikes along his back. Not sure if there's any socks/feet as it's currently not visible.

Coming along appealingly and the red colours of the bow tie and the horns keep the attention circling around the face, I think. That, and I keep thinking how he put on those PJs since his belly looks as if he's going to burst due to how tight it looks!
Is it PJs anymore? Or a tuxedo? With action gloves? (:

Hi there! I like your good colour choices and the intricate details for the eyes of the heads that you've painted. Was there originally a hat for the head for the guy? I'll have to say I like the guy head more.

As for your character in progress, you've got the character spot on from your concept and it's evident that you're having fun with sculpting his facial structure out. Keep going (:

Yep the guy had a hat but decided it didnt work.
Here is my other guy so far .. still quite a bit to go .. the scar isnt working very well, might drop it. Anyway got gif animations working in photoshop and was able to host it successfully on imageshack. Photobucket kept resizing the gif :poly122:

I have seen this when posted but I didn't comment; apologies! (:
The scratches, blood spatter and ominous face brings a sweet touch! I am distracted by wondering what kind of environment the screen is reflecting but then again, I still don't fully understand the capabilities of NDO2 while the plain environment brings all one's attention to the TV. I wished there was some carpet for the floor but this is no environmental piece (:

I hope you get better soon and post even more personal projects! (:

I just entered the VG remix competition, this really takes me back to the good old days when 128x128 was a huge texture page. Actually, Im glad those days are over. It was nice revisiting.

Brenly thanks for the response back. I checked out the vid. I never thought about painting 3D in photoshop. That is so cool!!! A new technique to add into my list. I am going to try this out. Can't you texture paint on your LP in ZBrush too though? I could imagine the Photoshops layers makes it easy and convenient though. Thanks for the video. Oh and by the way your VG Remix diorama is awesome!!! I can wait to see what you will place. I would vote first for how clean and how you utilized your texture space. A lot of great works in this competition. Where are your bubbles in the texture sheet? Holy moly!!! Is it the suckers on the octopus tentacles! Awesome work. Just noticed it I think. Good Luck man.

william21984 painting in Zbrush is awesome, the only draw back is you are drawing on polygons. Where as Photoshop you are painting on a texture map.
Itll be interesting to see where I come in VGremix, I seem to be getting a lot of good feedback .. fingers crossed! The bubbles and text are on a seperate alpha texture map that I forgot to put on the texture page. Its a bit boring as its all white.
