So I will be in town from August 8-10 with I would like to see if we can find a date and place while I am in town to do a polycount meet up! Let's group plan this, I have no clue about the area but I know the cali polycount group is large lets see if we can do a big event.

I might be down for a meet up on the 8th. If we can't find a place in Santa Monica I suggest Casey's Irish Pub in Downtown LA. If we're looking for a bar with food in Santa Monica I am not too sure. Maybe Barney's Beanery in the Promenade, they have food but I have no clue what the quality is.

There is a Yardhouse now in Marina del Ray (or DTLA if that works). If you guys want both food and drink, that'd be a place to be.

I second this! I've always wanted to go to the Yardhouse. My bro went and he said it has some great ribs and drinks.

DTLA is closer to me but I might be able to make it to the Marina Del Rey location.

I would say a major group of the studios are on the Westside so it might make things easier to have it there. Thats why they have the Game Dev drink up on the Westside. Getting downtown anytime is a nightmare as all the traffic flows that way.

I would suggest the Westside or Culver City. Down either way.
