Polycount MeetUp - Santa Monica

So I will be in town from August 8-10 with I would like to see if we can find a date and place while I am in town to do a polycount meet up! Let's group plan this, I have no clue about the area but I know the cali polycount group is large lets see if we can do a big event.

I might be down for a meet up on the 8th. If we can't find a place in Santa Monica I suggest Casey's Irish Pub in Downtown LA. If we're looking for a bar with food in Santa Monica I am not too sure. Maybe Barney's Beanery in the Promenade, they have food but I have no clue what the quality is.

DTLA is closer to me but I might be able to make it to the Marina Del Rey location.

Quick question, how will we identify one another in person? I do not own any Polycount merch.

I wanna stay away from down town LA... Trying to go from the west side to downtown after work. Not good... Plus I don't feel like driving.

Plenty of places on the west side and it's nicer...

I would say a major group of the studios are on the Westside so it might make things easier to have it there. Thats why they have the Game Dev drink up on the Westside. Getting downtown anytime is a nightmare as all the traffic flows that way.

I would suggest the Westside or Culver City. Down either way.
