SpeedTree Collision Problem

In image you can see loaded Billboard. there is collision. So from one side you can walk into tree from other can't touch tree. So how to fix billboard place, that it loaded in same place as actual tree. I think collision is done with billboard, so i need just to fix billboard.

Here is SpeedTree Modeler: (For me it looks like it have to work perfectly... but that collision is killing me...

hmm i don't know, but in the speetree editor your model is not on the 0,0 coordinate.Maybe the problem is with this.because the 0,0 is in the same distance from the tree, and where is your collision model in udk.
but maybe I'm talking bullshit, i never used speedtree.
Also collisions are not billboards.They are invisible meshes or bsp's

I don't think billboard has anything to do with collision. It's just what you should be seeing when you are very far away from the tree.

Deleting the base collision, and using built from the builder brush collision?Is it possible with speedtree models?

Have readed this link already. done same, actually its only 1 wey to add collision. I think its not speedtree soft prob. its something with udk. but its just my guesses.

If you set up the collision inside speedtree, the problem must be coming from there. just try to use another settings when you add collision.

And notice that when you play with out "game mode" with out any body, collision looks like works perfectlly, but when you enable game mode the collision changes. Like in all pictures. Can it be that's this problem is just in editor's mode?

I dont think that. If you tried all the options in speedtree, and nothing working, then i recommend to make your own tree in a modeling software, so you can use your custom collision for it.

or i have one more idea.if you select one tree and hit f4, then scroll to the translation, the translation is on 0,0,0?

All my search for this problem just waste... All what can i find just tutorial's how to create, same and same and same... Can any one tell me what is this... Is it just me having this "perfect" collision. Can any pro test this and tell me solution or what ever the case.

Ok.... so your having problems with the Collision of the Tree? Or Collision of the Gun? because your images show you firing around the Tree but the gun doesn't leave a mark.

I'll just run through a list and make sure you've done all these because I just tried the "Generate Collision Primitives" in SpeedTree and it works perfect for me in UDK.
Some of these might not be relevant to collision but this is what I just did and it works
1. Once you've finished Modeling the Tree and selected "Generate Collision Primitives
" did you use default settings?
2. when you Add your Tree into SpeedTree Compiler did you select Merge Billboards into Texture Atlas
3. Once you imported the Tree into UDK did you save your Packages out? to update the Tree's settings? I had to close my scene and re-open to get the Tree visible and for the Collision to setup.
if you did the 3 steps and nothing more, didn't change any settings I don't see any reason why you would be having Collision issues.

Let me know what you think & the basic problem your having is, its hard to tell

Have done more then 1 tree and all with this wtf collision. have even saved runed off udk -> on and same...

what version of UDK are you using? might be a bug, I see no reason why your Tree is different to mine

I only way the Collision could be off is that the Collision is either moved or you've generated collision and the Tree has moved in Speed Tree Modeler. When you click "Randomize all" under the Random Seeds Tab in SpeedTree Modeler it does move the Trees Coords in Speed Tree but not the Collision Box. I don't think that's the case but Its a possibility.

i think i know problem. try to play game with out game tyme and run into tree. collision works perfectlly. and then change to UTEntryGame.

If an object is not fully loaded upon importing it just doesn't seem to work well with UDK, Might not have to do with Collision so much but my Tree was messing up until I Unloaded it. Just covering all bases

ok, When I was learning I was told to use Game Type "utgame" no caps. Try that
All the Games types work fine for me, not sure why that's that case for you

If your referring to the fact that the collision is off, thats my bad I was messing around with the Randomize in SpeedTree Modeler so that one is wrong link heres the fixed one. but if you've fixed the problem its all good
