Darksiders 2 Environment Art
Hello everyone. I'm an environment artist at Vigil Games. We just wanted to share a few samples of our environment work on Darksiders 2. We are all very proud of our work and the game and we hope you enjoy looking at it as much as we enjoyed making it.

@ timotronprime - Yes to both of those. It really depends on each asset.
@ [HP] and Shanthosa - I'm sure we can. I'll try to get some of that together.
@ Darkleopard - All of the work you see here was done in ZBrush. We don't all necessarily have the same methods for getting from A to Z. I think what we focus on most is making sure everyone's art adhere's to our style.
It would be cool if you can select a couple of pieces and show the concept art, the sculpt and the final asset if possible.

Can you say a little bit more about
your favorite matcap or brushes u use ?
The matcap is a combo of 3 composited in Photoshop. Brushes vary depending on the artist, but I almost exclusively use HPolish, TrimDynamic, and Dam_Standard. I think it's pretty similar to the other guys.
The diff was 512 and the norm was 1024, but there is a lot of custom shader stuff to make it look better in game
