Hey there, Just a quick post to sort out a wee problem. See I have modeled a head in Maya and I am trying to texture it in the SSS. I have my head texture and edited it so it works in all the layers but When I apply the texture...it tiles??? like all over the head.. which I find odd... can someone shed some light on this for me? I have tried everything I can think off but there may be something obvious I have overlooked.

I found the issue..and it turns out the program wasn't actually deleting my UV's so I could make new ones...So I re-installed and I have fixed the issue now. But I find another problem....
When I apply an image... like a head texture it doesn't show up in the UV editor and appears stretched and awkward no matter what I do to fix it (I have been unfolding and relaxing the UV's in order to try and fix it but it seems to be indifferent to anything I do. I am a modeler and animator but I an not too used to applying UV's and working with lighting. I am in a learning process atm...
In basic terms, what would cause a texture to stretch and not fit and not show up in the UV texture editor?

As far as the texture not showing up in the editor, I'd watch the script editor when the scene first loads, an error with the file should be printed in there.
