Seam troubles with zbrush

I can't seem to find a good way to merge these two subtools back together, so that I don't have a seam and can continue to edit the sculpt.

It didn't work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Remesh or dynamesh could do the trick, but would redo the topology.

If you could get the verts a bit closer together, the subtool weld option should weld the border verts.

I also have a version right before I cut the hands off.

What about using morph target? I'm trying with that but I can't get it to work.

I can't find anything straight forward about using it.

Morph targets might store the location of those verts, but wouldn't be enough to merge them on its own.

The only edits I really care about are the ones on the hands. I'm not really certain how they even got mismatched on the forearms since I didn't really poke at that.

Do you know how I could use morph targets to get the hand edits back?

I also tried dynamesh (I'm not very familiar with it yet). It fixed the issue and made it look pretty decent. Do you know how to get the subdivions back?

You wouldn't be able to get the lower subdivision levels back with dynamesh as you're dealing with completely different topology by that point. The detail can be projected to it, but if you want the lowest subdivision levels it might be better to weld them in an external program at the lowest subdivision level, import the result, subdivide it a few times and then use the Project All button.
