Low poly or High poly?
Sculpt or Sub-D?
What style are you modelling it in? how much detail?

And more importantly, you need to ask yourself: is it more important to model this object with in a certain time frame, or is it more important that its looks as best as possible?

Here is a quick mini-tutorial for you in case you are wondering.

I assume you have 3dsmax open already? If not it could add several more seconds.
Create a plane.
Drag the image from the forum, onto the plane.
Go get a beer from the fridge to celebrate.

This would probably be several weeks of work. Usually only an extremely experienced modeler would tackle a project of this caliber, so if you're planning on doing it, good luck.

didnt know you could just drag and drop textures in to 3ds max

It'd probably take me an hour to model it, and another hour to paint the diffuse. And then three months to figure out how to do the glowy effects.
