Anyway one thing I find a little hard is about the props like stones and trees , when making large environments like for cryengine , Where I have to use many rock types and trees , I am "forced" to use tiling textures , if I could use detail texture for each object and make a custom much for each everything woul dlook much better , but I am wondering I am the only one making this ? are there other techs I don't know ? Or is the normal way to make tiling textures on rocks and trees?
I ask this couse especially in RDR Every rock seems to stand out so well by itself...
Hey Naima, well I have just posted a study i've done of a building from Armadillo. I figured the best way to understand the techniques was to try doing it myself. Would be great to get your (and other polycount rdr fans) opinions as i'm really enjoying doing this
