Mudbox and intuos 3

Hi,

I would like to know if someone can help me figure this one out! Ived been recently using mudbox with my intuos 3 and its seem's that my tablet dont cover all the screen space when using mudbox( same with photoshop) and its giving me bad result when sculpting because the pen is not accurate!( its not sculpting at the right place on the mesh)Can someone help me with this one ?

im using windows 7 btw!

Turn of Stamp spacing(i think that bug got fixed in 2012 though), that way it should sculpt on the right place.

I have an Intuos 3 A4 with no problems like that though, not sure why.

If you're having the problem in mudbox and photoshop, you need to fix it in the tablet drivers. Go to your control panel and open the wacom tablet drivers. Make sure you have the pen selected under "Tool", then select the "Mapping" tab. On the right, there should be some drop-down boxes -- if you don't have dual monitors, you may not have the option exactly like I do, but I've got a box that says "Screen Area". Underneath that is a checkbox for an option that reads "Force Proportions". Check that box and see if it's better.

In that same spot I mentioned before in the tablet drivers, there's another drop-down box that's labeled "Tablet Area". Make sure that's set to full. Also, check and see if you're changing the options for those programs if you have it set up that way. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the tablet drivers.

Yeah ived tryed all the option available and reinstalled ithe drivers many times and its still doing it! I think that its maybe caused by my screen ration (16:10) and the software. Its stange because its only doing this in mudbox and photoshop!

If you have "Force Proportions" checked in the tablet driver your screen ratio shouldn't matter -- if the tablet doesn't match and you select that, it cuts off a part of the tablet to make the ratio match.

I've never had any issues whatsoever with the Intuos 3, or any tablet for that matter. I doubt it has to do with mudbox as a whole. Not sure what to tell you. It might be driver-related, or it might just be hardware related. Maybe your tablet is fucked.
Are you having these issues in, say, max as well? I'm pretty sure you're only noticing it in Mudbox and Photoshop because you actually have brushes.

i have 16:10 desktop, mudbox 2011 and win 7 64bit. everything is working fine.

i do have a intuos 3 6x11 which is wider than the A4 and more proportional to the 16:10.

anyways, make sure you turn off 'Wacom Virtual Hid Driver'

go to control panel -> Human Interface Driver -> Wacom Virtual Hid Driver - disable it and restart.

btw, u should not turn off stamp spacing in mudbox, just set it to 0

MM Good job youved found the problem!

But its seem that for mudbox disabling those driver's made the sculptool unstable( making overlapping face and artefact)... I will try to reboot and re-install mudbox if its still happening...
