Wood was behind the wheel of his Subaru Outback, with his wife Erin a passenger, when they were struck head-on by a Chevy Blazer driven by 21 year-old Jordyn B. Weichert. Two passengers in Weichert's car were killed, while it's alleged that the young driver was also under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident.
Wood was 33. His wife, six months pregnant, is "hospitalized but in improving condition".
I didn't know him, but would anyone who worked with Wood please pass along my condolences to the family for their loss, and I can only hope that the wife and his unborn child will pull through ok.
(Let's please not turn this into a 'drugs and driving discussion. Thank you.)

Silly drivers ruining lives.
My sincere condolences to the family and to all those who knew Brian.
Its a terribly difficult thing to lose some one so quickly and even more by an act which was so easily avoidable.
My condolences to everyone who knew him.
Stuff like this ruines my day, its so unfair.
I wish the family and everyone at Relic the best while going through this difficult time.
Its also a terrible reminder to all that the end can come for any of us at any time.
last night I was talking to my dad's fiance who works with Brian's wife about my 1st month at relic and she was asking me if I have met him yet....
Unfortunately I will never get the chance, really terrible tragedy, I hope his wife and child recover quickly and am extremely sad for them. from the breif things I have heard about him he sounded like a really cool dude, 33 is way too young to go.
Vehicular homicide is a maximum of like 2 years in jail... or something stupid small like that. hardly enough punishment for the crime.
My condolences go to the family and loved ones of the poor bloke, a life lost through no fault of his own.
I offer my condolences to all those affected.
Very sad news
It still always surprises me how the acts of some stupid people can shatter the lives of so many.
I'm horrified by the irresponsibility of the driver.
I'm outraged that we lost such a talented individual, loving father and truly devoted husband.
I'm glad that she is able to find a little solace in her husbands death. Being remembered as a hero that saved your family, well there are worse ways to go out.
At least he was able to protect the things that where most important to him, its rare in the world today to find someone that the most important thing in their life isn't themselves. That is the biggest and saddest part of this tragedy, that society lost another good human being when they seem to be a dwindling species.
Very sad news, he seemed like a really stellar guy. This sucks best of luck to his widow and incoming child.
R.I.P
I hope his wife recovers quickly and their baby is born healthy. Best wishes.
