I never had the chance to work with Brian - as CoH is the 1 out of the 3 games we're doing here I never had the chance to contribute to - but from what I know of him is that he was a helluva guy and his final act, of putting his family first, was typical of him.
Selfless, not selfish, Brian will be missed by the teams here at Relic.
Profoundly sad news.
I'm horrified by the irresponsibility of the driver.
I'm outraged that we lost such a talented individual, loving father and truly devoted husband.
I'm glad that she is able to find a little solace in her husbands death. Being remembered as a hero that saved your family, well there are worse ways to go out.
At least he was able to protect the things that where most important to him, its rare in the world today to find someone that the most important thing in their life isn't themselves. That is the biggest and saddest part of this tragedy, that society lost another good human being when they seem to be a dwindling species.
Couldn't of put it better myself. What a guy. I send my condolences to his family and friends. It's a shame such an irresponsible act will have such a dire impact on the life of his wife and unborn child. RIP.
"Brian was a very close friend. He was just the kindest most down to earth person you could ever hope to meet, as is Erin. We have set up a trust fund to help Erin and the baby during this very difficult time and I was hoping you would be willing to post a blurb about this and a link to www.brianwoodmemorialtrust.com on your site. We, family and friends, would be incredibly grateful."
tough to watch very sad story I hope the killers get a tough sentence such a wreckless act that deserves full punishment.I'll give some money hopefully it will help them out.
Thanks for posting the video Vig, was hard to watch the video even after reading the write up of what happened I still didn't grasp the whole story. Now I understand fully how awesome this guy really was. With my third child on the way I think this story will influence me to be a better father and spend alot more time with my kids because it just shows that at any moment in time it could all come crashing down.
As the others have said, one hella hard of a vid to watch, that sure choked me up. Incredibly sad.
One of the most inspiring thing of this whole thing for me was that the parents feel that, even after losing their child, there is no place for anger. Incredibly powerful statement.
