Tinker: Thanks, yeah, people pointed that out earlier. Was just placeholder, final will be more accurate dates.
Finally had some time to get down to the texturing. I spent, no joke, all day on this redoing the seemingly random arrangement of brush strokes until I got them to where I liked them. I still think there's maybe too many/too busy but when compared to the texture of the Ambassador it's a lot less chaotic, however looking at a side view of the Amassador with the texture on the model it appears less chaotic. Tell me what you think I should do/change. The rings in the wood were just put in in 5 mins, super WIP.
I think the barrel should be slightly more shiny, although I'm not entirely sure whether you can actually do that or this stage or not, having no expertise of my own.
Anyway, aside from that I think it looks very good. Would it be possible to get a shot of it next to the current revolver to get an idea of the scale?
This design has the gun modified in a few ways. One of them was I made the barrel of the gun a lot longer than the actual guns. I'm just now wondering though, what looks cooler. here's an image comparison. What do you like better, long or short barrel?
Probably going to struggle through getting this into game later, no idea if I will be able to make it happen, but I should be able to, then get some fine tuning done.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm probably going to keep the short version then. I like it better too.:)
Galago, Acumen: It's the safety. It's a cylinder which slides across to block the hammer from hitting the firing pin. Probably going to change the colour on that too, I don't like the cheddar cheese orange.
No other crits on the Pistol? All feedback is appreciated. I know I have to go back and add more colour to the splotches for contrast and in general vary up the colour of the different pieces. As well I have to finish the handle texture which was just a quick WIP.
Who doesn't love selection charts!? Here's some interfaces for the watch. Tell me what you like and what seems like it would be easy to read. Feel free to mix and match!:)
Also on the pistol, what's that orange circle? It looks really out of place. I don't see any possible reason why it'd be there. Also you should get the pistol into Model Viewer so we can see what it looks like with TF2 shading!

jgoodroad: Well, it actually is a pocket watch. Same idea as Dead Ringer. A watch that counts down the cloak time.
Thanks for the input guys. I'm leaning toward 2 and 8 myself, maybe a fusion of 2 with the lower buttons and screen too since 2 seems to be the favorite. 2 is also very similar to the Dead ringer interface so it shouldn't be hard to implement it.
I have some designs for the front of the watch done but I'll wait to hear some more feedback on this stuff before putting those up. Keep it coming, more opinions is always good.:)
I'm going to use 2 for the cloak countdown. I still want to have the screen and buttons on the backside of the door though, so which buttons do you like best? The parts will just be for looks not displaying anything or pushing the buttons.
While you think about that, here's some other design crap. Decorations for the front of the watch. Not particularily fond of any of them. If you have some good ideas let me know!
Awesome idea with the James Bond thing guys! Thanks!
It looks great and I must have been daft not to come up with the other part of this design. Just got make sure with the higher ups that it's okay to use/include the logo in the game.:)
I'm glad I spent time to really work these concepts out and get feedback on them. Time to model!
Dr. Waldo Fehr: Great suggestion I forgot all about that logo. It works perfectly with the James Bond lines. Thanks muchly!:)
Once again you guys are my heroes. I Updated the last post with a new design in the image. If I can't use the PC logo I will use the TF logo. Unless of course you all like it better to begin with.
jgoodroad: Sorry to let you down. Stop watch and pocket watch, it's all the same thing. It's a watch that counts down the time left on the cloak.
Some stuff from last night and the base watch model back from page 1 in case you didn't see it or forgot about it. Going with the #2 interface and leaving the buttons/screen on the bottom inert but still there for detail. Debating whether or not to add the james bond part as geometry or not. Thanks for looking.
Yup, Pogo is right. I meant I am wondering whether to include it as geometry or in a normal map or just diffuse.
At this point I think I'm going to model it in. I can give it some actual overlapping shapes instead of just lines, and make it more interesting. Nothing else really needs normals, so it would be a waste of the map otherwise. I could use them for the spytech logo or the clock hands, but overall, not necessary.
Hehe this clock is a first weapon that for sure can be said that comes from "polycount pack" Very clean modeling and nice design. Speed up and finish it on time please, I prefer it than some of those crazy spy weapons seen here.

*glare* At least I've finished mine and they arent that "crazy" like you say <_<.
Konras: Don't worry, I have a schedule worked out. I should have all this stuff finished on time. I will probably not get to make the sapper, but it didn't fit the theme all that well anyway.
Khthon: Interesting idea, I'll try it out once I'm doing the texturing.:)
Mizzymizzy: lol Glow in the dark. That's a strange request. How would you achieve a shader effect like that? Would it even glow anywhere but Harvest?
JigglesMcGee: Yes I could, and I've considered it, but I think it works better as Geometry.
I finished the UVs on this last night so I can get a start on the texturing some time soon. Thanks for looking guys!
Mizzymizzy: Strange. I don't see much use in that. There are not many maps in the dark.
Sparkwire: Sure, I would be happy to have someone animate it. Just let me make some tweaks and I will send you the files.:)
It seems the universe is playing a cruel joke on me. I'm sick with a head cold now. I'm not going to let it stop me from finishing though! Maybe I can even get a sick day from work to boost my progress.
Just for fun when you're about to flip the clock open, c'mon you know you want it
EDIT: It will just add this little feature that will make people go "HOLY TOMATOES I NEVER NOTICED THAT!" "WHAT?!" "THE SMILEY GLOWS IN THE DARK" "OMG CAPS LOCK"
Some progress on the watch textures. I think I did some stuff with the Gun one too. Managed to get the day off due to sickness, but not much forward momentum. I keep experimenting then throwing it out and making it again.
Mico27: Thanks man! I'm definitely working to try and get them finished. I still have 4 days or so to finish everything, polish and compile.
Spent a lot more hours today experimenting with engraved designs, colours and fancy details. A lot left on the cutting room floor. I'm pretty much final with the Watch and the Gun at this point, I just still want to work more colour in.
Here's the mostly final gun. Tell me if you like the text or not. I finished the handle, added normals, made the barrel shorter and modeled/textured a bullet that you can't see.

The actual size of the gun would be too small to fit into his hand, the way it's rigged.

that would be a great Idea, since the Deadringer is a pocketwatch... I can see the stats now...
+ the ability to time things
- the ability to tell time
you would need another hand for the seconds of course

Updated the watch image in the last post.
