rooster: posting more then 1 entry ticket while not being a lurker . Awesome coloring work! what brush settings do you use? Just a square with penpressure controlled opacity?
woah gauss that's awesome! what program are you painting in? some areas look like you just printed it out, hand painted it, then scanned it . i love the colors of the face and shoulderpad.
Good to see so many lurkers coming out to play, the more the merrier.
Rooster: so I'm a lurker am I? Say it ain't so, say it ain't so....
Japhir: I'll usually do basic comps/a few manipulations in PS, but I do most of my work in Painter IX these days, which accounts for the brush marks and grain. Then I bring stuff back into PS to size down and unsharp etc.
There's a great classic anime feel to that one, Ninjas.
I should have participated in the first thread. I'll keep it going this time.
Question: If I don't like the most recent interpretation of a concept, can I go back to a version I like and branch off of that one?
My ticket: It'd be sweet to see people's interpretation of this
Makkon, really happy to see you join up, great stuff all around. The answer is yes, the fun of tagging is that everything in the thread becomes gristle for the mill. Especially since certain chains end up with more or less logical end points, it makes sense to go back to a previous iteration. Feel free, by all means
Ah, good. That really simplifies things a lot. I hope to be very involved in this thread, it just seems to stir creative juices and keeps me from stagnating. Thanks, Gauss!
Oh nice work Makkon-- Your recent stuff has been amazing. I think I will have to take a stab at your animal critter, even though it will be a huge challenge for me.
Reklas: again, any and all images, once posted in the thread, are fair game. Tags in progress, admissions tickets, your own tickets, the sidebar images, anything goes. One of the motivating principles behind the original thread was to get people to loosen up about IPs as well as ownership, to recognize the fluidity of artistic work. It's all fair game

My last tag of the old thread:
here's my ticket good sir
What I didn't count on was that my own response might end up looking like I was really, really into drug-themed album art from the 90s? Wuh?

Yes! the thread is alive!

edit: oh yeah, I did that in Artrage using the paint roller tool, which has a sort of thin square profile and a bit of smudge to it too
