I agree that the back part is detailed as hell, and the front doesnt look so good. I know you can't just put geo detail in there, but a better texture could help. Maybe a transparent glass showing someone inside?
I think the spec around the tip of the jets could be dulled a bit maybe even some char marks and metal discoloration tossed in to help sell that they're hot or maybe shin up the back half since they're kind of roughed up already?

carlo_c: no, its a render in lightwave, not too impossible to recreate in an engine I suppose, provided you have some decent shaders ^^

[HP]: Yeah, its the point, hinting at some kind of functionality, a clean shell but detailed machinery. The concept was not made by me, so..yeah, but seeing inside the cockpit would have been really fucking cool
Vig: Totally agree with you. I tried to toss some of that in there, but maybe its not strong enough. I was kind of unsure if I should discolour the outside, and not just the inside. That would kind of hint that the jets were not very well insulated, so.. yeah. In the end it went..mjeah. ^^
If I didn't and I just fapped, then we would turn into a clone of the other sites (that shall not be named...) just like that >poof<!

How about another bank of pods on the opposite wall?
Love the detail , especially the thrusters. I'd recommend having a play with UDK - am sure you could recreate this realtime and try some different arrangements of the pods and lighting.

How do you come up with your ideas for random 'nick-nacks' to include? I always find that part most difficult. I always have space i need to fill, but never know what with.
