Mech Paladin

Hey all starting a new project seeing as how my soldier is finished (just gotta upload some Maramaset turn arounds :D)This time i decided id try something ive never done before, Creating a paladin type character but giving him a futuristic twist.
Not quite sure how this will go but im hoping for the best and setting my aim high.
Ive got a mood board and a concept piece to upload but first Im going to lay down my goals here so i can see if i can actually accomplish them.

Goals:
- Have the finished product around 10-15k tris max. 2k diffuse, spec, normal, cavity (maybe).
- Believable futuristic armor, e.g. armor that the user would be able to wear without being super powered.
- Realistic body proportions.
- Realistic texturing

Im trying to make the knight look as real as I possibly can. So i hope to pick up a few nice tricks and tips from the community.

I have also made a small backstory which i will upload after the pictures.
