Warframe has been announced

Hey all, just wanted to post this up to get the word out about the current project me and a small team at Digital Extremes have been cracking on for a bit now.

Warframe is a Free to Play online co-op shooter. Right now we have the sign up page up and running for closed beta. If you want to sign up and let others know as well that would be muchly appreciated.

I'll keep this thread updated whenever there is something new to post up, thanks again all

oh man I LOVED dark sector! I wish it got more attention, it was soooo much fun to play; choppin' stuff up with the glaive.

I wish I could spill the beans a little more but I know we're keeping a lot of things close to the chest for now (you guys know how it is), but I hope you all stick with it and as soon as we get some updates out there you'll be the first to know

Artwork certainly looks interesting. I'm not sure I'm sold on a cooperative game mind. I'm assuming it's basically an FPS dungeon crawler.

ambershee - It's a third person dungeon crawler kinda game, but what's nice about it is the level layouts are all procedurally generated, plus some other cool things we got in the works :P

Hitmoninfinity - If you dig that kind of style you should check out Jean Giraud - Moebius, our AD is suppperr inspired by him. He had recently shown us some of his collection and it rocks!

Two things:

1. Looks like the ninja with the energy shield is female? Kewl.
2. There's some gravity play going on? Floors on walls, walls on ceilings, etc. Looks like fun.

That would be the definition of a dungeon crawler (it's not one if the environments aren't procedural)
