D3 Textures - Converting .tex to .tga

So I'm not entirely sure if this is allowed, but I was playing around with an MPQ editor on the Diablo 3 mpq files and wanted to try extract the textures for study. I managed to extract them as .tex files just fine, but haven't managed to find anything to convert them to DDS or TGA.

I've tried the 'D3textureconv' tool but that seemed only compatible in the beta and doesn't work with the final release textures. Since I wasn't planning to use them commercially (just for texture study) I thought it would be ok! Any advice would be a great help, thanks :)
