I just love that you have done this hazardous.
currently working on something myself and everytime i get into a new phase of the process i bring up your pdf and read your opinions and views on this stuff.
your insights are truly refreshing well explained.
(same goes for funkie bun ofcs )
i still have a small request and that is if its possible to share your uv checker.
i have searched for it but have not found it, perhaps i overlooked it (getting sick of all them squares xD)
"Remember no matter what method you use, a low poly cylinder shape with a normal map will never ever look good from *all* angles, but generally this will cover you for most angles - better than the wavy one."
What if you set up a shader to blend between two normal maps based on camera angle?
so i was reading this book on my tablet. Dont even know where it came from and I was like damn this dude has a killer workflow! I am going to start forcing everyone to read this! Then I realized. Its Jon Troy who wrote it! Of course its a damn good book!
