Im thinking about creating a high-res sculpt of a face and then retoping it so that it is suitable for engine such as unreal. I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average tri count of a head is for a FPS 7th gen console.
Yeah thats what I usually do, but this model is for a games engine assignment so I really wanted it to have a tri count that was similar to models in industry.

The problem is that there is no exact answer. I think Nathan Drake was 50,000 polys. I would put the avg hero character at about 14k, then go from there.

The usual rule of thumb is 25% of the total character polycount.
