Getting your comment ignored or someone else reposting the exact same comment you just made and them getting all the quotes and reference and replies.
Right Glottis, next time you post the most random load of nonsense ever, I'm going to reply :poly124: just kidding lol, I'v seen that happen loads, even happened to my "What's your best places" thread
"did you check the wiki? -> no comment by the original poster, the thread gets forgotten"
"my normal maps dont come out well, why? -> did you check the sticky??"
"CONGRATS FOR YOUR JOB!"
and there's that mentality that you either get comments if your work is abolutely gorgeous or absolutely horrible, but none if your intermediate and need help getting better
-> Asking questions in that were answered two posts above.
off topic: I feel realy bad and guilty while reading through this thread, is that normal? ^^
Nah Its fantastic what has become of Polycount, its played a huge part in progressing things in the industry, getting artists to strive to go from average to brilliant. But in that format your always going to get people who go too far, probably kick people when they are down thinking they are giving them a boost in the right direction.
For example I saw someone recently who was about to graduate and had all the typical worries about it and he/she was basically told they would never make it. It was ultra harsh, to be told that after years of training I tended to sympathise.
That's rare though, most people here are down to earth and pretty helpful.
