Hey there guys! First contest here on polycount and I'm super psyched. Kind of late to the party, but I just came up with a few rough concepts. I'm considering
#3 heavily, but I'm having trouble making it more "deathy". They all feel like they'd be fun to model out. Curious what you guys think.

Detail Block In:
Came up with a happy medium. I'd wanted to implement more skulls or something ornamental on the piece and I came up with this. I'll definitely add more detail in the uh... well detailing phase, but I really really wanted to try to get the block in just right, hence all the separate iterations.
C&C welcome

Probably going to go forward with some color studies and material palettes tomorrow.

Also I changed the head of the weapon from marble to probably some kind of enormous gem of some kind.

the "Fate's Bridle" looks quite unique, but like glenatron said, side view looks a bit plain.
also, have you tried rendering the pink part different colours?
and maybe add some carvings to the upper handle maybe
Added some flair to the sides. Obviously took a little inspiration from the "Blind Fury" design as I was particularly in love with the idea of banded sockets for whatever reason.
Also playing around with different colors. I have an affinity towards red, but I'm thinking of going back to a deep saturated purple to stay within the aesthetics of the game.

Still definitely open to crits and comments though.
Go Polycount!
There is the final high poly of the model. Going to go through the super fun awesome spectacular task of retopologizing now. Wish me luck
Final Composition. It's been a longer road than expected, but man has it been fun! Can't wait for the next competition, this stuff is the kind of environment which I feel I thrive most in!
