Not photo related but, Nina - how do you come up with ideas for your color palettes? e.g. knowing which colors work, etc. I know about complementary colors, and color theory, just wondered if you had any tips. Thanks
Hey Torch! I'll try keep it short - I often come up with ideas for color palettes when thinking about the mood I'd like to deliver. In example whether I'd like a character or environment look harmonic or aggressive. I often think about color harmony and color meaning (what the colors are often associated with), for example green hues are often associated with nature or poison, purple and blue hues do well to establish a mystical atmosphere etc. Color planning for me is also about choosing what details in an image I'd like to pop out and how to draw attention to them. In the future we can talk about this some more in a more fitting thread
