Hey guys,
I modeled an asset in maya and then imported it into UDK in FBX format.When i imported it..it's showing weird artifacts at few places.I checked it twice and thrice, my model looks perfect in Maya Viewport.
it's happening like this only in UDK viewport, please help...

Make sure the vertices are welded. Make sure the line is as well.
Be sure there is no overlapping or odd shapes in the UVs.
Make sure the history is deleted.
Try exporting it out to see if that's the problem.
Try deleting the face and making a completely new one. It might be tedious and may not work, but they just means it doesn't have to do with the model.
If nothing else, upload it and I'll take a look at.
And let me know what fixed it.
i'll revisit my model and recheck all the parameters you mentioned.
All of a sudden my maya file got corrupted, some of it's edges just vanished and there were overlapping UV's.I made new faces as suggested by Butthair and problem is now solved.

Pretty happy with this result and all pumped up to import my other creations into the UDK as well.
