Just one thing came into my mind, advice take it or leave it
The way the horns split off and goes in to the middle guy's eyes look a bit weird. I would reshape how the horns pretty much completely to make them go into his eyes more naturally to not make it no seem so forced. (feels like its an after thought right now.)

I won't be updating this for a bit, GDC got surprisingly busy for me. I should be back some time next week with the low poly and the beginnings of my texture. I still have no idea what I'm going to color this weapon but here's hoping it comes to me, any suggestions would be great.
Killer design! Keep up the progress on this one, I can't wait to see the texture,you could possibly pop out the wraps a bit more as well, so when you bake the normal will be a tad bit stronger.
thanks a lot guys. i got hit with some extra freelance stuff and i thought the due date was the 30th. so I've got quite the weekend ahead of me.
here is the low poly with normal and ao. still need to drop the poly count a bit but i wanted to have the normals in place before i started hacking out more tris
here is a shot of a pretty close to final version of the hammer, need to get the glow texture working and maybe tweak the poly count and texture a bit more but its shaping up
I think you're working with too many color in this one. The warmer colors are working here but the bright red and blue/purple together isn't doing you justice. You also might want to tweak some of the values for your AO. Instead of having everything be black shadowed, try and work in some natural shadow colors.

I was thinking of calling it "see no evil" but not sure
Other then few minor tweaks I think I'm ready to move on to retopo, baring any issues I'm missing from staring at if for so long
let me know if anything seems wrong or unfinished, I'll look at it with new eyes tomorrow
