I guess i'll post my finished work here... : )

I shouldve mentioned, It's Sandman a spiderman villian .... based off of humberto ramos design.
Yeah, i need more work on Anatomy reference on how things connect together, but i felt i could get away with (comic book) proportions.

i think..
. the shirt should have a cloth texture, not the same rock cracks.
. you should try looking at some anatomy reference, and always research before hand.
. you should decide on a style.
. the head is uber~small

i wanted to sculpt those grooves into his arms like... in
http://zatransis.deviantart.com/gall...ndman#/d1x0gtv
is that why it turn out blobby... hmm.
and it looks like i didnt at those little specks of specularity that sand often show.
but i do want to have what he did on the arms on my arms....

i'll take another crack at it tonight.
did some ref on hulk like creatures and muscle builders....
I do love those wavey horizontal lines that Zatransis did on his Sandman http://zatransis.deviantart.com/gall...ndman#/d1x0gtv im afraid it come off to (random bloobby) .... but i also like those deap cutts, maybe i can find a inbetween comprimise.
a layered or stepped look.... ???
thanks for the critique, im quite enjoying this.... and learing alot, would this count as my third attempt at sculpting, since im spend so much time on this piece.
sorry for the grammar and mis-spelling.... lack of sleep is making me less coherant. : /
Couple of comic guys told me to try to establish a strong silhouette, (which Zaltransis has) which i tried to do with the above pic....
oh, yeah, the wrist, thanks for pointing that out.... :poly142:
then i went backwards (back to the old sculpt) and try to tweak it and get a similar silhouette, as was suggested... this is the result.
This is it for this guy, until my next revisit, .... as i will continue to study anatomy off to the side, always learning.... : )
Nope no short-cuts.... i couldve gone the way of making his arm transitioning to and from pillars of sands, (nothing wrong with that, he is sandman) but instead i opt to listen, learn, practice, and attempt, to scuplt his arm... and hope i make some progress.
speaking of which time to break out the sketch book
